FULL MOON
JANUARY 8, 2012
EMOTIONS! EMOTIONS! EMOTIONS!
Very first Full Moon of 2012, This Full Moon can bring on emotional tides that wash over with a great force. If you're prone to extreme moods, or already feel overwhelmed, you might want to cozy up at home. What's the state of your emotional ocean -- is it polluted with fear, negativity, stagnant pools of the past?
Nurture yourself through any emotional waves, and let them find their way to integration. It can feel messy and chaotic, before the waters calm again. There can be emotional catharsis at this Full Moon. Dance it, draw it, write a story about it, or walk it out (by the ocean, in the forest or park).
A time for great growth in relationships, with raw truths exposed and integrated. And relief as a new ground settles that feels truer, without needing to pretend to feel something you don't, or bottle things up.
This Full Moon illuminates; deep emotional needs; unconscious behaviors; homesickness; longing for a family and children; the protected home sanctuary; national identity (tribe, kinship, ancestry); family legacies, security fears.
Financial issues may come to a head, with all the fears that ride in with them -- about security, the future, or taking care of those you love.
It's a great time for a Cleansing Full Moon Ritual or in any way symbolically freshening the waters. And to make sure your well is filled with emotionally rich images, music, and friends.
It is a good time to be assertive with your values of inter-relatedness, empathy and respect for the cycle of life, nurture and allow yourself to be nurted. Tune into your ancestors.
But most important watch those emotions!
